small towns
and spring roads
lilacs
as I look through
poetry books
from the last many years
some poets here
some poets there
POEMS FROM OOSTBURG, WISCONSIN
reading for hours
as when young
thoughts of loved ones
from those years too
sky the color
of forget-me-nots
sun reaches trees
also old pine wood
in the house
early spring day
goes by and snowdrops
bloom in our yard
with tall trees
in afternoon light
asked here and there
if we go South
for a time
we stay
seasons
snowdrops
