Seed Under Snow

the faith of birds
trusting in seed
under snow

This haiku was published first in SMILE, a large print journal that was edited/published by Joyce M. Johnson.

I reprinted the poem in And So My Soul (2001).

November Wisconsin Countryside

November Wisconsin countryside
Bare trees elegant against the sky
Colors in the landscape muted now.
October’s glory is gone
And love grows eternally.
