Easter And Spring Poetry

old and new
memories grow together
Spring flowers and trees

lily of the valley
fragrance of forgiveness
memories of love

losses in life
low setting sun
through branches of trees
now rises again
as birds quietly sing

Sunday rest
prayers and gifts
of Winter with
new hope
for Spring

praying the Psalms
and reading poetry
books and journals
I write new poems
about everyday life

Short Poems

reading old letters
reflections of Christmas lights
on the water

holiness
and humility
Christmas

Christmas night sky
becomes sunrise
tree branches
covered with ice
glisten in the sun

new year
on the horizon
simple lines
of barns and trees
in the fog

late September
and time with old friends
