in the blue vase
books and music
from over the years
live on these shelves
even if I don’t
reread or listen again
somehow their
healing influence
is in these words
I enjoyed donating some boxes of books and poetry journals this year, and plan a Christmas donation with a few music CDs.
But we have this treasure
in earthen vessels,
that the excellency
of the power
may be of God,
and not of us.
