Where can you reduce clutter in your life?
Daily Prompt
I have old books from my mother’s home. More than I can read, and I hope to donate some to a thrift store for others to read, or perhaps use in collage projects.
Not now, in winter. Maybe they will be an Easter gift. They are not “clutter” but perhaps good to share.
In terms of reducing clutter, I have found it helpful to work a little at a time. This morning, after work in the kitchen, I thought:
morning work
for a few moments
everything in place
time with old friends
poems in a journal
from years ago
What could you do differently?

small steps
one day at a time
sparrows in the yard
beauty of trees
shaped by the wind
and seasons
work at my desk
blue jay visits
a tree in the yard
Our winters are long and yet the light in January is different. Always so beautiful.
In late December 2022, I created the two posts some light begins and also Haiku: Light and Seasons.
Here are two more poems today.
clouds and yet
enough light
to fill a jam jar
with the last
of the carnations
early morning
light on an old painting
in a new place

more colors of blue
in Lake Michigan today
than I can name
the wonder of always learning
dreaming new dreams
