Spring Poetry Journals

Spring poetry journals
arrive in the mail
gifted editors,
poets, and
publishers
I would like
to read them all
yet the week
has been busy
with art at home
I admire the journals
and set them aside
for the morning
and will give them
a season of my time

Poem by Ellen Grace Olinger

Easter And Spring Poetry

old and new
memories grow together
Spring flowers and trees

lily of the valley
fragrance of forgiveness
memories of love

losses in life
low setting sun
through branches of trees
now rises again
as birds quietly sing

Sunday rest
prayers and gifts
of Winter with
new hope
for Spring

praying the Psalms
and reading poetry
books and journals
I write new poems
about everyday life
