Tanka: Five Poems

morning light
forms part of a cross
on the wood wall
my faith completes
the picture

pink clouds
span the horizon
seagulls take flight
stretching to read
new books

tiny leaves
on trees
no prayer
in my heart
too small for God

no longer
a stranger
the joy of being able
to share long stories
of this area

by grace we try
to keep a promise
finish a project
monarch butterflies
back in Wisconsin

My poems are from a Page at Poems From Oostburg, Wisconsin. The page is Morning light – Tanka. (My pages there – my first site – are filed under MENU.)

It is Autumn here in Wisconsin, USA. I like creating posts around themes, as well as following our Midwest seasons.
