Poetry Notes

love of literature is a new post at my primary site, Poems From Oostburg, Wisconsin. “These are a few of my poems that I wrote for this blog, and that have been reprinted by editors and publishers in print journals and a book.”

I review my archives and sometimes I revise earlier poems. I thought I would share with you the longer poem that became my haiku here at Journal Notes Blog this week. I’ll reprint the poems, so you can compare them, and both poems paint the picture. The moment of peace and beauty. I often see poems as I work in the kitchen, or read and look out the window.

with no wind
the quiet image
of orange daylilies
in bloom

We have lived here for a long time, and the daylilies were planted by previous owners.
